| Aims of the course : |
| We produce fashion designers power excellence and help our students develop
their innate creativity coupled with excellent professional grooming. With
a specialized program of study, students are encouraged to explore their
own personal design philosophy. This facilitates them to identify how their
innovation develop as a process and operates within the fashion industry.
The course focuses on research, the development of ideas, pattern cutting
and garment construction. |

| Our students develop innovative and original concepts, and learn how to
challenge pre conceived ideas. Workshops and tutorials take place throughout
the course length develop practical skills of our students. In variety of
work based learning opportunities including live project with links to the
fashion industry and students are encouraged both to make contact with professional
designers and initiate their own projects. Market awareness is developed
and students are encouraged to pursue sponsorship, undertake freelance work
and obtain work experience. The course is closely linked with textile designing
and jewellery designing courses. We encourages the students to use the intensive
and specialized equipment in the most optimum manner. |

The candidates after successful completion of the course can find excellent
placements in garment, leather and jewellery industry as merchandising executives,
fashion designers, illustrators, fashion co-coordinators, etc. Manufacturing
involves purchasing textiles and fabrics required for the design and making
the garment according to the master pattern. Manufacturing process requires
employment of a large number of trained personnel.
