Aims of the course :
There is currently full employment in the pharmacy profession & expanding
opportunities in new areas. The D. Pharm course aims to provide highly skilled
health care professional & competent scientists, well prepared for this
new roles . In particulars, we will draw on our existing strengths in medicines
management, considered by many to be the future of the profession. The course
will focus on the profession and practice of pharmacy and will draw on the
key aspects on the clinical, physical and social sciences. Our aim is to
produce the forward thinking, modern pharmacist of the future. The Diploma
in Pharmacy is designed to offer opportunities for advanced study in drug
discovery technologies, therapeutics and process development, pharmaceutical
analysis and quality assurance. The Diploma is suitable for people who want
to work in industrial and research centre wishing to develop their knowledge
in the design and synthesis of drugs and address the pharmacy issues that
arise. The course is also suitable for the person want to work in hospitals,
pharmacies and clinics as the course will also focus on drug analysis.
Entry Requirements :
Pass in the final examination of 10+2 or any other examination recognized
Equivalent there to by Rajasthan university of health sciences. For D. Pharm
compulsory Subjects are Physics & Chemistry & any one of the optional
subject Maths, Bio Technology, Computer Science & Biology.

The job avenues for a pharmacist are with pharmaceutical industry, government
departments, universities, teaching hospitals, investigation and research
institute etc. Within the pharmaceutical industry you might be involved
in activities relating to the development, formulation, production or marketing
of new drugs for clinical use.
